My photo posts have been a bit less frequent because I have been working on two projects recently that have been keeping me super busy! The first was creating a costume for my local high school's musical production of Fiddler on the Roof. Many people have been working hard to pull this production together! Cast (my daughter is in the ensemble), crew, directors, volunteers... all pull together to run this show for two weekends. Last weekend's opening was a big success! Want to check out the Fruma Sarah costume I helped create and see this wonderful show? Hurry order your tickets at: www:myticketportal.com. There is one weekend left!More about my other big project soon! Also my photo posts should become more consistent again!
It’s that time of year again, when students at South Portland High School (our local HS) are busy rehearsing their annual musical. This year it is Les Miserables. (For a summary of the story here is a link to Wikipedia.)
For many years, it has been a family tradition to attend the show. Now my daughter is a part of the ensemble! It really is a community effort!!! Pit band, scenery, lighting, performers, box office, etc... students, parents, staff… so many coming together to create an always phenomenal production. (I’ve had the pleasure of painting scenery and will help out back stage with costumes during the production.)
I can’t wait to see the finished product! Want to check it out? Here is the link to all the info! FYI...Les Miserables is NOT for young children! The production contains adult situations and language. Please remember this when making your plans to attend!
